Well, my new favorite is probably populating and soldering pcbs. Because it takes 10 minutes, and i dont have to plan shit or jump a single connection.

No, the ability for anybody with a small investment and a little know how to make something to exact tolerances in their garage, that it would have taken a factory to do.

I honestly lol'd when it cut the stomper holes as if slicing margarine. Because the big ones cause me nothing but pain. I don't even use a drill press, just fold a paper template around the box, drill pilot holes then start swaping drill bits.
Mike, I built the modified EA tremolo with pulsing LED this morning- is this the one you made? It sonds sooo nice. Really good build. I did the J201 pinout wrong again though so I'm going to correct the stripboard layout before I post it.

Step one: scribble out schematicSloan wrote:You guys should post sweet TUTORIALS for this shit. like making PCB's the shortscale way and such. I want to make like 50 clones of my Nobels ODR-1.
Step two: email to Jay
step 3: explain to him what the fuck you are trying to say and why you don't know the proper symbols for things
step 4: Jay makes fancy computer shcematic and asks if it is right
step 5: be totally confused by fancy computer schematic and say "it's probably right!"
step 6: send Jay money
step 7: recieve pcb!

i hate cnc machines.
especially with gutiars, i like my shit to be more hands on.
the vintage owners know, the contours or feel of any guitar pre 1970 or so, they feel better, the instrument has more of an individual feel.
now, everything is exactly the same, except for the few factory mishaps, and factory setups.
i don't know, maybe im just trying to save my luthier esque job.
