the michael schenker sound!!!! lolDinosauria wrote:Wah can be useful as a mid boost if you just leave it on, sitting about halfway up.
i use wah every now again, mainly for mid boosts/ice picky leads. halfcocked wah sounds nice.
hurb, have you tried reversing the input/output around on a wah? as in plug guitar into the output and input into pedals/amp.
makes mental seagull sound blips you can adjust with your pickup controls.

the time machine has tiny inners I reckon its a good pedal for a rehouse. if you ain't fussed about modulation the behringer vintage delay is small and cool sounding. I hate the idea of the mxr carbon copy, fuck that pedalHaze wrote:Hurb. Need an analog delay, 150usd limit

wutido?
It was actually the same pedal I took to america, at home I would have the tone around noon and it sounds awesome. but with the band I needed to wack the treble right up.Haze wrote:^this is true
i learned the same thing as you, hurb, when i got my loop
used to have a shit ton of bass then started making loops and realized that nothing stood out
Tim's green muff has a healthy bit of trebble and cuts through fucking anything like a machette
I have pedals that may not be used daily, but are there for different sounds when needed. the sub-octave synth is one of them, its a totally awesome sounding pedal.less_cunning wrote:
i am just a WEE BIT curious: what is going to happen to the Diamond Skeleton Sub-Octave Synth; seeing that in yr. set-up was the SOLE reason why i signed for this board inthefirstplace...
I still love the hemi roid and saltboost mike, and they will still get loads of use.Mike wrote:I used to have a Wah on my board in spite of how much I hated it. Can imagine you noiseniks could make use of it though.
Gutted to see the pedals I made for you didn't make the cut, but that's life.

Two pictures of when I used to use a bunch of pedals
Then I stopped using all pedals except my Pedal Tuner and sold my Showman to Doog and a lot of pedals on ebay. All I have left from these boards is the Korg DT-10, Danelectro Tunamelt Tremolo & the EHX Deluxe Memory Man.
These days I'm using the JCM800 so I'm using pedals again. I have a shit Stagg Pedalboard. I'm beginning to wish I never sold the Showman.
The 6100 footswitch is probably going to come off since I'm going to use the 800 and there might be a couple of pedals added. I've painted the modded DS-1 the same colour as Hurb's Hemi-Roid Fuzz. Pics on this soon.
I built the Klon, and modded the SD-1 and DS-1. The only pedals on my board that haven't felt the wrath of my soldering iron are the Behringer Delay and the Tuner. Even the 6100 Footswitch has Green, Yellow and Red LEDs for the channels that I added

H'okay, this has been a bit of a mammoth undertaking for me, and involved me almost putting my back out lifting the washing basket full of pedals out from behind the sofa. Here we are then:
Top row, left to right: Gig FX Chopper (cheers Mickie), homemade BazzFuss in a sweety tin, Ibanez PM7, Danelectro Transparent Overdrive, Danelectro Coolcat Fuzz, Danelectro Fabtone distortion, Danelectro French motherfucking Toast, Zoom UltraFuzz.
Middle row, left to right: homemade (by me, this time) feedback looper thing, Ibanez DE7, Sound City Overdrive (my oldest pedal, from a bootsale), StressFX BMP Ram's Head Muff clone, Boss Hi-Band Flanger (got it in a trade, off to eBay soon), Made by Mike Fuzzface, homemade (me again) Rangemaster clone.
Bottom row, left to right: Danelectro Reel Echo, modded by Mike Rat, Behringer Vintage Delay (Hurb's fault), Behringer SuperFuzz (also Hurb's fault), Behringer Vibrato (my own fault), OLC Chunky Cheese.
Fuck, twenty one pedals, plus a superfuzz kit on the way. I have a problem, don't I.
