I don't know much about them except that there is an original one at one of my favorite shops here around town and that Rob obviously loves the things...

they re-released the coronet back in the 90's to compete with the jagstang.
note the wacky HB/SC pickup layout
they also came in gold purple and other hideous colors

vintage coronets were the bass model of this body shape and normally only came with a single p90 pickup (depending on the year)
the current 3000 dollar gibson wilshire that they are making a limited run is much closer to a double pickup coronet than a wilshire.

They were complete shit, too. I don't know if they released it to comepete with the Jagstang, maybe that seems logical but I have never read that or seen any info regarding that.
