Arr, there are a couple of new Malekko pedals on the way, one a CArbon Copy-beater, the other slightly larger and with tap tempo. See local press for details.

The Diamond Memory Lane and the Echoczar are both tap tempo analog delays that have been around for a few years. They are also crushingly expensive and if you buy one you're officially a complete moron who cares more about buzzwords than sound. You can get a fantastic tap tempo delay sound out of myriad digital delay pedals that can be made to sound as analogue as you like and noone would ever know the difference

Fair enough I posted the wrong picture. $429 is still retarded for any pedal if you ask me, and my comment about getting Tap Tempo and an Analog Sound (which you can tweak to your heart's content) on a Digital Delay with more Features is completely valid.

It's a hell of a piece of work, don't get me wrong. I just think it's just a nuts price, personally.

I think we've already had this exact same disccussion.

When a new EHX DMM cost $310 it's not that crazy. I haven't investigated this 2nd version of the pedal. But the first one was really great sounding.

The original isn't available at that price anymore and I'm pretty sure whenit was, the DMM was more like $200 or so.

The new one is twice as much as a Deluxe Memory Man, and personally I think it sounds too dark.

I think the Deluxe Memory Man is overpriced also, bear in mind.

i will never, ever pay more than 200 bucks for any pedal. ever. when pedals start costing as much as half a guitar, that's fucking REDICULOUS. my all tube bitchin' ass amp wasn't even 250 bucks. suck a fuck pedal price.

i agree w/ this sentiment. most i EVER paid for a pedal was $175 for a EHX SMMwH on ebay. yesterday i saw one for $140 on craigslist. some pedals are worth the price though. i guess. it just won't be me buying them.

Stop the clock, here's the new Malekko I was on about - tap tempo analogue delay, going to be $275, apparently. Out soon...

it would be a bit like arguing the pros and cons of white and brown bread, i reckon.

one's good for toast, the other's good for sandwiches.

(bread, not pedals)

Stewart, I find the ignorance in that post disgusting. It doesn't even come close to addressing the subject.

Are you saying that you don't like wheaten soda bread toasted? Or that brown bread is better for a jam sandwich than white?
