yeeeeeaaaahhhhh!

So I sold a bunch of shit and nabbed this bad boy. I played it itn the store and felt a real connection with it, and that feeling is never wrong! Teh other two times were my MIM 50's classic tele, and my Tele custom II, which I bought sight unseen online and lucked out.

Anyway, it's great, it feels really tightly built and strong, balances nicely, and osunds good and strong. It's kind of strange to hear bass pickups again, because Ive been rocking the Thundercats which has those weak shrill CIJ jaguar pickups.

My baby daughter is infatuated with it and has been climbing all over it, goobing up the chrome and tasting the fretboad and stuff. Ew.

$450 used, which is half what those cocks at fender want you to pay for anew one now.

if it were mine, id try and find a brown tort guard off one of the vintage white ones to put on it. that would be amazing looking, imo.

nice buy. id like to get one myself.

Awesome!

I just bought a white one a few weeks ago. I had wanted to buy a Fiesta Red one like yours, but the one in the store looked anemic, as though they had mixed equal parts white and fiesta red in the paint gun (factory fuckup?). I slapped a black pickguard on mine.

They're fucking great basses. Sounds like a more barky P-Bass, plays like a dream, doesn't way a ton. How much are these selling for new in the US? Here they went up 50% in price right after I bought mine.

It's a Reissue. I think they got bumped up to almost $1k, which is fucking idiotic.

Dood. Awesome bass. my suggestion is a black pg, but I dunno how good it'd look with fiesta red.

I think it's a fucking joke that they want a grand for this bass and they don't even give you a gig bag. For that price, they should give you a hard case. Plus, a grand is about what the vintage ones (non-comp) sell for. Not that there's anything wrong with my reissue stang bass, but if I hadn't bought mine when they were still cheap I would have ended up going vintage so I could get contours.

In Japan they sell these basses with a nice looking blue... looks like that blue from the International series custom colours from the 80's. I don't know what its called, but the Japanese colour code is CBL.

I also find the OTM to be quite a penis hardener:

If only I had a giant paper bag filled with Yen so I could order these straight from Japan... still, my white + black one is pure sweetness.

STANG!! You have a Swing Hailey exclusive as heard on track 4 of Battle Duck 3085 BETAAA

<3 my stang bass. We found some awesome new ear candy by plugging it in the twin reverb and running it with the fuzz factor and the box of Mike.
