magnatone

someone else should join the magnatone club.

i think it'd look great in LPB or shell pink.

You know it.

I sort of like this. How do they play, Mo?
Shabba.

they are really quility guitars.
mos has a neck tilt installed, 3 single pups with mad jag style switches, a trem with allows you to go up half a step and down a half step.
the contours feel just like vintage fenders, very curvy and organic feeling.
the necks are just like vintage fenders too cept a bit more towards the vintage hagstrom feel.
the zero fret and retainer are genius in the overal design and they used the same woods and materials as old fenders (i.e. alder body, maple neck, brazillian rosewood board, switchcraft, etc etc etc)
they are actually really good guitars with a good feel and a good sound.
those pups in the zephyr look like they are the same in the typhoon so i can garentee that they encompass all that is good about low output single coils.
great guitars imo, i would pay up to 800.00 bucks for the one mo has, but thats IF i was in the market for one.

they play great.

you can get a load of tonz from the 3-pickup model i have, which is slightly different in style from this one.

the pickguard and trem on this one are a bit modified between the two models.

making a bridge wouldnt be that hard, you could modify a jag bridge if really necessary.

if i had the money and time, i'd do this, for sure.

That's a really cool looking guitar. I had no idea about these. Does your also have that headstock style, Mo? I seriously love that headstock.

mine has the weird stock too. the only thing i dont like about it is that the neck doesnt taper from butt to nut. it is just straight, and feels kind of off. im keeping mine though, so i can sell it when im old and reap the benefits.

Haha yeah... that's how I feel about alot of the shit that I own.
I'll be on the pawnshop prowl for these, though. They have just enough quirk to be interesting but so much, to be akward looking.
Oh, and I bet those pickups sound just fantastic too.

I played one on my guitar day with mickie. I wasn't all that impressed really, other than the neck to body join offered the best access of any guitar I have ever played.

love the look of those. im keeping an eye on it, but im kidding myself, as i have no monies. :(

always wanted one.

i did once play a guitar with no taper, as mo described. really really hated the feel of it. but its possible i couldve gotten used to it.

i think if i ever see a body just, ill get it
