They've had a lot of starts and stops with this one, but It's Roger Linn. He's the G.O.A.T drum machine designer.

Dave Smith also seems to be trying and make his line affordable as possible and still quality, that's awesome.

If the Adrenalinn II is anything to go by, this thing will be ridiculously good. The Adrenalinn is onto its third incarnation now, too, and I can upgrade mine for a mere £30 to the current spec. The guy is brilliant.

I think I like the third one. A big screen is probably a good thing like.

an mpc + a dave smith mopho would be a great combo.

i wish he didnt go to the 2x8 layout, especially since the 4x4 works so well. he apparently did this for "techno and electro" producers, but i dont see why they cant use the 4x4 just as well.

anyway, that third one i think is the best so far, although the second has a certain vintage moog feel to it, and the first of course has the 4x4 layout.

im sure itll be good, no matter what.

still, mpcs are way more affordable, ill bet. im going to look into what the linndrum can do that a good mpc can't, as i am in the market.

EDIT- i see, the linndrum is actually a drum machine proper, not just a sampler. interesting.

i wonder how it stacks up to competition, like the machine drum, etc.
