I'm contemplating going a humbucker in the neck (low output PAF) and a NoCaster bridge pickup as well as working on the neck (I want it less shiny as it was a build...). It's definitely my favourite guitar to play in the world and all I really lust for now is a nice Jazzmaster but won't buy one without playing it first... bit hard down this part of the world.

might not be as bad as australia though.
I might end up building my own. Fiesta red/Salmon pink, alder body, 9.5" radius, dots+binding+non-matching headstock, AVRI pickups, AVRI trem... I might even go the same route as my Telecaster and buy up an older piece of alder (I have a +40 year old pine in my Tele) because I've never played a nicer Tele than mine and I've played, owned and looked at a whole bunch.william wrote:i feel similarly... id like to get a JM but ive seen a used one in tulsa OK usa exactly zero times.shae wrote:I'm contemplating going a humbucker in the neck (low output PAF) and a NoCaster bridge pickup as well as working on the neck (I want it less shiny as it was a build...). I've also owned 4 Jazzmasters... so it's been a bumpy road

“I need to take a piece of wood and make it sound like the railroad track, but I also had to make it beautiful and lovable so a person playing it would think of it in terms of his mistress, a bartender, his wife, a good psychiatrist - whatever. Les Paul

I have seen a couple of Jag-stangs.
The Cash America Pawn at 49th & Peoria has a sunburst Squier Jagmaster for $170.
