do you do all that dithering manually, or is there a tool or something?

that dithering was 100% cheat. i couldn't be bothered to do it after doing all the text so i made a graident and then just set it to indexed colour in photoshop using 4 colours and pattern dithering.

normally i do it myself but i hate it on large things, plus i'm not too good at it. i might have to study what photoshop came up with though, that dithering is really quite nice.

ooh yeah good point, i made the background darker but without the white outline around the text and it sort of clashed a bit.
