Fender Musicmaster neck pocket -> standard???

Hi,

is this a typical 1978 Musicmaster neck pocket?
I`ve seen this style of neck pockets only at Mexico guitars ...

Weird. I hadn't noticed that before. Stoners at Fender, I guess. If the neck's tight, should be fine. I love that guitar.

i have seen that on a 79 strat, so yeah, i guess at some point it just became easier to do that.
