I'm going to build myself a boost pedal, but I'm not sure which one. I plan on getting a few of the right sort of transistors or whatever and trying some out. But as a prelimnary to that, and as a bit of a push towards which pedals to get the parts in stock for I could do with some suggestions.
My initial thoughts lean to the SHO and the variants of it (slight variants they may be). I'm keeping the salt boost so preferably something a bit different to an LPB-1 style thing.

Question for those with smarts about impedance/practicality, etc...Because I don't know anything: Could a tone control/varitone circuit easily work with a simple MOSFET boost deal? I'm curious if something like a Snarling Dogs Very-Tone would be do-able in a homebuilt setup.

i miss those snarling dogs effects. i used to have a couple. the tweed e dog and fuzz buzz were ace pedals.
