MXR Classic Distortion

Post by Haze »

Did anyone pick one of these up when they were 30 bucks around black firday, 2008?
Image
it's sitting on my pedal board after being left aside for months, and it's now my source of dirt, i step on it more than my box of rock, hotcake, and green muff combined, it's delicious! More responsive then the Dist III, gets clean w/ your volume and tone on the guitar, and does clean bump to crunch to, well, classic distortion.
Just wondering if anyone picked one up, as they are now selling around 100 bones on ebay for a new in box one.

thinking to ask if Mike can clone it

I heard that the MXR classic distortion is just the distortion III repackaged. Is it different? which one do you like better, im thinking about picking up a basic great distortion pedal and i have considered these MXR pedals.

the distortion plus is more like an overdrive, with some fuzzy light distortion in the higher gain settings. if that sounds like your cup of tea, they arent hard to come by.
