i have never heard of shielding changing the tone of a guitar. maybe it just makes it sound as it should without the hum

Well... i ripped that bullshit foil out and the Strat was back on fire tonight at rehearsal. I dont know why i did it really, if it needed shielding i would imagine Fender would do it in the first place.
