Thanks for the welcomes!
I'd heard about the crazy 20% price raise. It's one of the factors that is allowing me to justify blowing another few hundred quid on a new guitar. Still undecided on what to get though. Must decide soon...

A road trip to Glasgow would be fine to see me. Maybe not Stewart seeing as he is in Edinburgh

I don't remember which one specifically, but it may have been Hurb in this one:

This led me of course to other Hurb and Mike gems, and I became an instant subscriber on YouTube and long-time lurker here.

After hearing about the new Danelectro Cool Cat series pedals on one of the forums, I decided to check out Danelectro's web-site. I read the marketing copy, listened to the demos, then began my quest to learn (and hear) more abou these new pedals.
By chance, I happened to do a search on YouTube and found Mike's demos on the Fuzz, Drive and Transparent Overdrive pedals. I was really impressed with Mike's candidness, thoroughness and objectivity during those evaluations.
If you want to learn great things, then surround yourself with great people. I hope I just did.
Thanks, Mike.
