fender twin II?

Post by william »

is this a good deal?

ive never heard of these. did they come in tweed like that? looks kinda weird, but i like it.

he's including a pair of new jensens, along with the OGs, and it has new tubes. 850 seems like not a bad deal, unless there is something i dont know about these amps.

from wikipedia:

Twin Reverb II

In 1982 the Twin Reverb II was introduced to compete with Mesa Boogie's very successful products; it had an output rating of 105 watts and a return to Blackface era cosmetics albeit with a different, channel-switching cascading gain circuit with a more modern mid-range voicing and without the 'traditional' vibrato. The Twin Reverb II was produced until 1986, and was available as a head (amplifier alone) or 2x12 combo. The circuits for this series of 1982 Fender amplifiers were designed by amp guru Paul Rivera; the 60w Concert amplifier was by far the most successful in terms of sales, but all models in this range and the next are now becoming highly sought-after by collectors and players.

interesting. i wont be able to get it, but i want it. if somebody else in the area wants it, im not calling dibs or anything.

update: looks like they arent worth it. unless the tweed is factory and super rare or something, but on ebay they are asking 699 for em.

The II models were the last of the hand wired Fenders and were designed by Paul Riveria.

The Deluxe II was an immense amp. It is the one Fender I would love to own.
