O, the mincing of history. We're only after p'ups with funky pole-piece positions to make our guitar look cooler, aren't we now?GFS wrote:These are very faithful recreations too...
Then again, I'm tempted to buy THIS Cort-built ash lovely for $130 over here and throw on a baritone Strat neck + a wide-range-looking humbucko for reasons I can't quite justify. Looks compel this foolish hearted dood I am...
DO IT. that things looks pretty decent.ultratwin wrote:O, the mincing of history. We're only after p'ups with funky pole-piece positions to make our guitar look cooler, aren't we now?GFS wrote:These are very faithful recreations too...

needs a new bridge though.
you might email them, ask them about magnet structure, etc. i emailed them to ask them if their tele bodies were vintage spec, and they emailed right back (it is.)
its interesting that he says they are faithful reproductions, but then never talks about the actual product, just how it KERRANGs and that it sounds "vintage" and what not. he usually at least talks about the magnet types.
id say that as long as it has alnico polepieces, do it. but if it is some ceramic barmagnet typical humbucker type architecture, its not worth it. more like that guy that was trying to scam SSers and Offsetters a few months ago.
hoping for CuNtLiFe magnets might be a bit much, i really doubt he's gone that far for that price.

Gotcha. Knowing me, another 'stang bridge and B5 may needlessly be crashing at our house if I pick the thing up...We'll see.Zaphod wrote:DO IT. that things looks pretty decent.ultratwin wrote:O, the mincing of history. Both sublimedo and I have had them. Mine seemed a little muddy, but later figured out they were not wired correctly. They sounded great after that was fixed (I put a pair into a jagmaster...)
I think Sublimedo has one in a jazz type guitar if memory serves me correctly.

They say great minds think alike....Sometimes we do too...
