Regarding the new Danelectro Cool Cat pedals, we now know the following "alleged" derivative circuitry:
Drive (CO-1) > Fulltone OCD
Transparent Overdrive (CTO-1) > Paul Cochrane Timmy
Fuzz (CF-1) > Frantone Peachfuzz
Does anyone care to hazard a guess at whose circuit design was "borrowed" for the Metal (CM-1), Distortion (CD-1) or Vibe (CV-1) pedals?

I think it matters - isn't the trem a clone of something or other? Mike knows...

If it's a clone, it will provide insights into how it sounds. Plus, it may become a collector's item and be worth more money someday.
Yes, they ARE good pedals, anyway. I have the Drive, Transparent Overdrive and Fuzz and really like each of them.

The vibe is a uni-vibe, except with an LED instead of an incandescent lamp.
Don't know about the others.

Really? I saw a photo of a Cool Cat Vibe with a bulb on DIYStompboxes:

It still looks like an LED to me - I see a cathode and anode rather then a filament.
It's just a rehouse of the Chicken Salad Vibe, which also used an LED

I took apart my chicken salad before. it's definitely not a big metal box like that around the LED. it's like a tiny little photocoupler thing.

I believe it's a Tremulator.

Have just had a trawl around the forum, and indeed Doog is right; it's a Tremulator homage . There's a nice demo on page two of the effects page. That I should have posted a link to...
