sounds like the distortion on my solid state ashdown amp when the gain is lower.
that horrible high frequency content that if you try to dial out makes it sound muffled.

up high it gets a bit better and thicker.

fuck knows why they called it the screaming blues though.

Yeah, im planning on keeping this forever. just to remind my self about what I thought was good tone. ahahah, The screamin blues has a special place in my heart. even if that place is in the dark dusty back corner. its there.

Oh first pedals, you bring so much embarrassment and joy at the same time.

what was everyone's first pedal?

i think that screamin blues thing sounds quite good.... i'm going to keep my eyes open for one of them.

my first pedal was a boss DD-3 that i got on denmark street in london when i was about 16. it was a sweltering hot day and i almost got into a fight with one of the shop workers cos he was being a total knob.

howzat for memories?

Yeah I have pd-01 now, I kind of consider it my first pedal... but I was once given one of these:

I got it as a gift when i was like.. 12? Ages ago. Never used it, I still don't know properly what it sounds like.... its just under my bed or something.

Thats why I consider the pd-01 my first pedal.

I'm reading reviews about the Bespeco Weeper pedal, i got as a gift years ago and never used (see above post). It doesn't sound good:

"Well, basically, it is made from plastic, with a tacky 'tread' design moulded on the casing. I think that was designed to give the illusion that you were operating the accelerator of a sports car, when really all you are doing is foot-wanking a piece of easily-broken shit."

and

"One word.

'Shite'."

My first distortion was an Ibanez TS-7 tubescreamer.

Peavey T-60 ----> Tubescreamer -------> Marshall MG-30 = Rig of 12-year-old AWESOME.

My first ever guitar pedal was a Boss XT-2 "XTORTION". I kind of wish I still had that. That thing sounded cool, in cowabunga kinda way.

The video's actually make it sound pretty neat. It sounds like a very useable distortion pedal.
