should i fix this silver face deluxe reverb i got for free or sell it and put the money towards another silver face fender maybe a bassman of some sort. i already have a silver face vibro champ that i love.

the amp needs new transformers, new tubes, new reverb tank, a cab pretty much everything.

If you could get a cabinet cheap enough (make?), it might be worthwhile. That's a major resto job. If it's the amp your looking for, do it. If not, sell it.

Sell it. There are hundred of dollars and many hours of work that need to go into that thing. Plus as has been mentioned, you need to source a headcase, which will not be easy. The iron alone will probably cost you $300+

It would only really be cost effective as a project for anyone who does a lot of amp work and has a bunch of useful parts lying around ready to throw into it. Sourcing all the parts is going to be a nightmare, plus the overall shoddy condition of the thing and the wiring (even for a 70s Fender that is pretty messy), doesn't augur well.

I have no real idea, the value would be defined by someone who wanted to gut it for parts or restore it I guess.

Ebay with $1 start and $100 reserve is my best guess.
