Thanks to Hurb for sorting me out, they hold their tuning well. what do you reckon aesthetically ?
Now I'm thinkin about white witch hats , switches and maybe even a matching headstock... but I think that might be 'too much'...
cheers

A mint coloured headstock might look cool. I reckon it would be nearly impossible to notice it's not white.
Or, you know, it might look like big, random green headstock.

that looks great the way it is. dont change it, for real. more white would indeed be 'too much.'
very nice.

mint on white is the shit. love it.
mint in general is the shit. i used to think i liked pure white better.. no longer!
unless its on a burst or natural finish, generally. or black.

Looks awesome, I thin it would look sweet with some white/cream witch hats though.. leave the headstock alone!

I really like them, they totally work on there. Leave the headstock as it is. Painting it would be stupid.
The white buttons look good against normal maple stocks.

Thanks for the comments again.
Yeah, the headstock would be the least likely mod, I'd never go through with it anyways. Looking at the classic vibe duo at work is what really attracted me to the idea, and that doesn't have matching stock.
I am considering white witch hats though, but something about chrome and white knobs doesn't do it for me...

I particularly like the way the black knobs look on there.
I say you leave it the way it is.

To me it looks like dirty white... and gives it more of an aged feel overall... and makes it look less shiny and japanesee...
I was looking for white originally but fran coughed up with the mint guard so I ran with it.
Here's what it'd look like with white for comparison... found in some guys photobucket album.
Johnny Marr has one that looks very similar to this also.

white strat knobs look better than witchhats on chrome, IMO. white jag knobs would be pretty rad though.
id stick with the black though. i like how it matches the other switches and wheels and shit.

Is that a SLIPKNOT MOTHER FUCKER look-a-likey or the real deal ? oh wait, isn't that the drummers mask ?
Cheers... totally agree with you William... I would need everythin to match if I was to go down that route so sticking with the black.
I'm actually in the process of lightly aging the covers and trem tip in tea & coffee to remove their glare. Hopefully to the same sorta tone as the tuners.
As it happens the black of the bare pickups look pretty cool.
I think I've spent too much time in the past building custom BMXs...

Sorry, sure you're getting fed up of seeing this jag but...
I've lightly aged the covers now in tea & coffer and I think it's tied everything together... looks a little subtle in the pics, much nicer in person.
