Xaviere Guitars

Post by yeepers »

I was ballsy enough to purchase one of guitarfetishes' guitars, a strat copy. This thing is alot better than expected (I was expecting a MIM strat). But i'll put it in between the MIM and the american one, leaning towards MIM. I was just wondering what eveyone else thinks about Xaviere guitars.

i like the look of these:

the amount it'd cost to ship and the customs charges would probably offest how cheap they are though, easier to get a decent squier.

according to their site, $118.

adding in a £40 customs charge (i've had two guitar shipped from the US, 40 both times) that's a good £250.

i could easily walk out of a shop with a classic vibe for less than that.

I was on a buying spree the last few months and was seriously tempted to get one, but not knowing anyone with one, and not being able to actually play one made me decide against it. I have a feeling I'll take the plunge one of these days. They're just too cool looking!

Well I wish I could upload some clips but my tube amp broke down. Playing it through a SS amp wouldn't do the guitar justice. My short lived experience with their strats was a great one. I was really feeling the cleans. I had a fuzz pedal to, and that sounded awesome

i thought it was so obvious that i didn't mean legitimate fender strats that i didn't bother writing it.

Whenever ducks come in the yard mama just chase em out with a broom.

I bought a tele neck and body from GFS which I'm assuming is unused Xaviere parts. I'd rank them about Classic Vibe squier/MIM quality also.

Two people have metioned MIM Fender along with Xaviere, do you hold MIM in low esteem or are the Xaviere guitars really that good?

If you ask me, I'll say Xaviere guitars are that good. They just voice and play better in my opinion. Its only a 174 dollar guitar, so changing the pickups wont be a big deal if your disappointed with the way it sounds. That was my fall back plan if the guitar was shit.
