Garageband... will it run on a pc?

it would be alot of wasted effort.
i've tried it, wouldn't recommend it unless you've got a mac with nothing else on it for recording. everything i did in it that wasn't recorded (ie sequencing and the like) didn't sound much better than midi. if you want to record audio get audacity, if you want to sequence something there's better sequencers out there.

Just want something really simple for laying down/ working out guitar parts for my band. Is audacity easy to use? Basically want some approaching a 4 trk in pc form.Zaphod wrote:it would be alot of wasted effort.

Oh and idiot proof!
audacity is well easy, hit record and off you go.
it's not pretty but it'll get the job done.
NOTE: google fixing audacity latency before you do anything with it, overdubbing stuff is arsey before you sort it. the first link is a pretty decent (but slow going) youtube video on it last time i checked.

I've had the randomly disappear track thing, annoying. But for free with the machine... it's priced right.william wrote:i havent run into any of these things.light rail coyote wrote:RUN AWAY FROM GARAGE BAND. It's evil, does random shit, and fucks stuff up for no reason.
