$79. Everyday price. MF asks $99.

U-Crest Music

You'd have to call, it's just a mom and pop shop. Nice though.

Haha, Sloan's eternal hate for SM-57's rivals only Shad's hate of Seymour Duncan.

Not sure. I like DiMarzio myself. In fact:

It's like it's destiny or summit.

you know what, I have all sorts of expensive motherfuckers when it comes to microphones, but the 57 has an amazing character when it comes to guitar, drums, and vocals.

I will have to check out this audix though...

and yea, you can get 57s for like $60 on ebay. they're indestructible, it makes no difference if you get a new one or a used one.

Supposedly eBay is flooded with faek sm-57's which is lame. If I recall correctly, SM57's used to sell for $89.00 all day through musician's friend and the like. Somehow a few years back the price went up to $99.00.

He typically cites too much midrange, I believe. The SGuar previously had an all-Duncan line-up.

I don't have many mics, but I find myself using my old SM57 on most everything. It's got this warm/clear sound that I haven't found elsewhere.

BUMP.

I need a mic.

I've been using a SM58 that belongs to one of the other bands that practices here. I need my own. Recommends? $99 is the max I'll go but I'd like something cheaper if possible. HALP?
