Any suggestions for a good reverb pedal for my Vibro Champ?

I never owned a reverb pedal.So I don't know how to choose one.

Only one I've ever had experience with is the Marshal Reflector, but I liked it.

i liked the ehx holy grail.
or if you have cash go with a fender reverb unit. (you probably couldn't call that a stompbox/pedal)

Hardwire reverb is cool stuff, and so is the EHX holy grail of course, great reverbs.

what sort of 'verb are you looking for?

the RF-1 is pretty good for all around stuff. it does spring hall and room verbs decently, not gonna block your socks off but it'll do what you need it to.

here's another nomination for the Holy Grail.
I have the HG+, which I think is a little more flexible than the original but soundwise, pretty much the same to my ears.
Oh and it has a "flerb" setting which is a complete and utter failure and sounds like somebody taking a shit underwater.

I've been looking for a reverb recently, also for a vibro champ but for a bassman as well.

Here are my thoughts on a few that I've been considering with links to youtube demos (pro guitar shop where they have it)

T Rex Room Mate - This one sounds fantastic in some settings, and still quite good in others. It's only problem is the price and it's not too readily available so findinging one second hand or one to demo isn't easy, though it is easy enough to find to buy new from somewhere.

Digitech Hardiwre - About half the price of the T Rex pedal and very versatile. It's also a bit smaller which is a bonus. This is the one I'm going to go for. It would be nice to actually have some proper controls such as 'pre-delay' and the like (I think it's a said state of affairs when having them on a guitar pedal is seen as a massive bonus and a Â£30 bit of rackgear wouldn't even consider not having them), but I'll manage with 'livliness' and similar. I've had some very good experiences with lexicon tack stuff and I have to admit that having their name on this pedal helped sell it to me a bit.

Actually, I'll stop there with anything at all detailed because I haven't seriously considered much else. There are some other pedals out there that would do the job fine, but the ones that seemed like they would be as good or better than the hardwire also had a significantly higher price so I've just kept with wanting the Hardwire. It does depend a lot on what you want it to be able to do.

A couple of other ones to consider -
Tech 21 Boost RVB - boost and reverb in one, they also do a boost delay in the series. Comes quite highly recommened from one or two people on Offset. Certainly worth a look. They're the people who make the SansAmp pedals.
The Holy Grail stuff - I've no idea which models are worth getting, but people seem quite into them

if you want a simple reverb thats going to sound good and not break the bank, holy grail might not be a bad place to look
if you want stereo reverb, fuck ton of nice sounding verbs including reverse, hardwire is great, and still easy on the dough
holiest grail is fucking sweet though, get it

For just simple reverb (if thats what your in the market for). I would say go for the EHX Holy Grail.
Or if your in the market for a more complex reverb with more options (kind of like a reverb unit) go with the holiest grail(which is way more expensive). I don't know how much a holiest grail is though.
And yeah Flerb sounds like shit.

but as for dudes looking at the Hardwire, I have to mention that it's almost exactly like the already existing DigiTech DigiVerb except that it's true bypass. It is a very good reverb pedal and you can easily get one for $40 on ebay.

I've been wondering about this. How similar actually is it? A hardwire is going to cost me Â£100 and I could probably get a Digiverb for Â£50-60 on ebay. If the hardwire is a bit better I'm ok with paying it, but if it's near the same I may as well go Digiverb.

Deaddonkey has a Digiverb and i'll be over in Dublin this time next week. I might try and buy the hardwire from somewhere that has a 14 day return policy or something like that, take it to Dublin and try them out side by side. If there's little difference i'll send the hardwire back and by the Digiverb. I'm not sure how easy a return policy like that will be to find from a shop that also has a good price. I'll look into it tomorrow.

The Lee Jackson Mr. Springy sounds great if you want a very nice Blackface-style 'verb in a box, but it's heaps of cash and a essentially a single-function pedal...Which may actually be what you're after.
