Wah Wah demo

Post by the isaac eaton »

So the broken wah i got is now fixed, the guy that is going to mod it fixed it for me. I made a video of it pre modded so you can see the difference between the two when it is done being modded.

Late 80's crybaby wah, (i might be wrong on the time period) I like it a lot. I use it as more of an ooh wah kinda thing, so basically all clean and beautiful. But with distortion is fun too.

That sounds much throatier then a lot of the reissue Wahs I've heard. Mine was absolutely awful when I first got it - all icepick and thin. I've done a lot of mods, and it still isn't exactly where I want it to be.

This wah actually sounds quite good stock.

aye i've got a standard crybaby and it's pretty shite. with some drive there no real sweep either, it's either up or down.

nice demo, this wah has a different sort of voicing that i quite like.

Its not modded yet, this is just stock. But its going to have true bypass, big bright LED, and two trimpots on the inside, one to adjust the sweep so its not just treble at the very end, and the other to change the output of the pedal, so it can work as a boost as well.

Mine's branded Washburn (got it on clearance at Target), but it's a Crybaby. Just the standard one, and it was real harsh before mods.

I'm debating swapping out the inductor, but that's a whole bag of worms.
