Do the rights of gay people in America matter any less than the rights of gay people here? It doesn't matter if civil partnerships are now available here, you're still spending money on the products and he still donated ten large to the same cause.

That’s for the people in the land of the free to decide how they treat their fellow man. It’s a fuck up anyway; in a country where you can influence government policy because your minted, means anyone who doesn’t have cash will never have equal rights. Its a society based on $$$ with no social conscience.

This is turning into a thread for the pub. But in answer to your point I say; free health care at the point of service. We have enough social conscience that we don’t let people suffer because they don’t have health insurance.

Prop 8 stuff aside (which is reason enough for me not to buy Danelectro), I read that the Cool Cat OD is basically a Fulltone OCD clone and the Trasparent OD is basically a Timmy clone, so if you want a higher gain pedal go with the Cool Cat, otherwise go with the TOD. The TOD is also being discontinued soon if that has any bearing on your decision.

TOD is apparently being "redesigned" but theres a chance that's just bollocks.

In this redesign, the sound will stay the same. but every time it gets switched on it shaves the moustache off a homosexual.
Danelectro see this as a step forward.

ok, i'm not going to argue this thoroughly here, but your initial point didn't mention healthcare, just that policy can be bought with cash. Same thing in the uk. America does have a welfare system, it differs from ours, but it's there.

Did you ever get the dano transparent drive? If so is it any good (leaving aside the whole anti gay thing that hijacked this question)

what made you choose this over the ordinary overdrive, is there a big difference between the two?

(a pain in the arse indeed!)

Yeah I got my Dano yesterday. Only tried it out today, it sounds nice. Not too much drive, all quite nice.

not sure really, i just wanted something that sounded like my wee ibanez TS5 but with a better construction, which this has. the way the tone controls are configured kind of swung me on it too.

I’ve just realised Mike did demo's of both these pedals (Cheers Mike!). I had only seen the transparent OD demo. I like the sound of the standard OD so I’m off to search for the cheapest price I can find on the bay of E.
