One thing you should know is that Rickenbacker had a problem with the black hardware.The "R" tailpieces in black were more brittle than the chrome and broke more easily.That is why they stopped making them.Maybe this is only a problem with 12 strings.

what kind of ric do you have, anyway? honestly, id take just about any ric, even this kitschy rt66 one. i like how divisive it is, too.
