I want a CLEAN amp.

I want a CLEAN amp.
What's a good, light-weight, unfathomably CLEAN sounding amp that's loud enough for a big coffee shop? I only want cleans - doesn't need to play well with pedals.
Only requirements: reliable, low noise, no digital effects, reverb.
I'm leaning towards a JazzKat 8 based on features, but I haven't made the trip to try one IRL.
Ideas?

may sound silly but my fender stage 100 sounds very clean too, it's solid state, 100watts though, has a single 12"speaker, very easy to move around and it looks nice too (i have the older version, non 'dsp'?) and has dual inputs.

This is actually what I'm thinking about. I need to wait for a used one to roll into my local shop, but I'd really like an old non-DSP Fender SS.heavium wrote:may sound silly but my fender stage 100 sounds very clean too, it's solid state, 100watts though, has a single 12"speaker, very easy to move around and it looks nice too (i have the older version, non 'dsp'?) and has dual inputs.

they're fairly cheap too i think i got mine for about 250eur, keep in mind it does sound ugly when you push it too much (or hit chords really hard) but i take it it's not what you're gonna use it for anyway, just test beforehand.
oh and i forgot i LOVE the reverb on it. can get very splashy/bathtub lol when i first got it couldn't stop playing walk don't run

those crate powerblocks were like 150 watts solid state, really small, and stereo, and cheap as hell, new.
looks like they dont make em anymore, but that and a 1x15 cab would be clean and loud, for sure.
the guitarist of deerhoof was playing this setup the second time i saw them, and he was peeling paint off the walls. not cleanly, but he had pedals, of course.
im sure without youd have lots of headroom.
(oh yeah, and its really ugly)

Nice! I have this same amp and I haven't seen another non-DSP version in a very long time. I dug it out a few weeks ago after a discussion here about the older Fender solid-state amps.heavium wrote:may sound silly but my fender stage 100 sounds very clean too, it's solid state, 100watts though, has a single 12"speaker, very easy to move around and it looks nice too (i have the older version, non 'dsp'?) and has dual inputs.

Something like this would be a nice choice. There was a Deluxe 90 in the same series that would probably also be suitable.

Awesome amp for cleans, no lie there. I've been using one for a few years.william wrote:those crate powerblocks were like 150 watts solid state, really small, and stereo, and cheap as hell, new.
