How could I forget? Lassie Foundation/Smashing Pumpkins' Jeff Schroeder with his simple lines and big surfy sound from his Bandmaster did a lot for me nearly a decade back in thinking Tele-wise. Hard to believe St.Jimmy's Cindicaster Mk.1 used to be this very MIM model:
