obviously teh krudtz, that almost goes without saying.

actually thinking about it, that's it. i've just always loved jaguars loads and there hasn't been a player/group of players i can attribute that to.

As previously detailed somewhere around here, it was Sonic Youth, via a Guitar Magazine article entitled "Taming the Jaguar". Never mind the fact that they mainly play Jazzmasters - journalistic integrity seems to be in short supply in guitar mags. J Mascis, too - even if just for his first note on his cover of Maggot Brain.
The player that still makes me want a Jag is Ethan Miller from Comets on Fire - I'll have a shell pink one, please.

the first time i saw kurt cobain's jaguar I thought it was awesome, and being young, I didn't know much about guitars.
when I was looking for it on websites and stuff, I found that the jazzmasters looked alot more like his guitar just because of the pickups.

anyways, from a young age, i had it planted in my head (inadvertently by cobain) that I liked jazzmasters better than jaguars.

(I still lean towards jazzmasters)

Otherwise are there really that many Jag players? You'll see the odd one at a gig every once in a while, but not many artists out there use it as their main guitar.
No.

Kevin Shields (MBV), J Mascis, Sonic Youth, Will Sergeant, Ultra vivid scene, Mark Day (Happy Mondays), Mark Gardener (Ride)... and just about anyone in the late 80's, then finally teH krUDtz.

I remember watching this video about 1989 and that was it. I wanted a weird hairstyle and a Jaguar..

I know I got into the mustang because of Kurt but with the jag, it just kinda happened, I walked into a store and they had one of those Jag HH's on the floor and I feel in love with it.

Do you have a Jaguar now?
