acoustic guitar pickup

Post by dezb1 »

After reading quite a bit about John Martyn in over the last while, I decided I should check out his music. I watched this video

on you tube and decided my acoustic guitar needed a sound hole pickup installed. So out came the drill and in went this.

Please excuse the finger prints, I installed the pickup earlier today and haven’t got round to cleaning the guitar up. As I have been too busy playing it

I didn’t want to spend too much on a pickup either, I got this one for £25 new off eBay and it sounds great very clear (my wife says it’s the best sounding guitar I have But her parents are hippies). If you put it through a decent amp it sounds kind of semi-acoustic like a Casino. They also come housed in different types of wood so you can match them to the rest of your guitar. As for a demo I don’t have any cameras or the like to make a video.

For £25 I'm very happy with my purchase, make sure you get the right one they do them with 3 different connections. I bought the one with the jack input built in to the strap button.
