it depends, i play with my fingers more than with a pick these days (fran was witness to this).

i agree with reece's blue tortex picks. though i've always used metal picks a lot. up until 2 years ago, i used a 50p for 5 years solid, perfect worn in.

This is the only kind i use, and sometimes these hilarious first act picks that my girlfriend bought me, they are actually nice though. but yeah, Tortex, only in yellow. NO OTHER COLORS!!!

George Dennis picks, just because my local shop in Boggers carries 'em, and I tend to get lotsa free ones cause I'm awesome.

Blue ones, 1.20mm- for both guitar and bass.

them's what i use, but i've noticed the thinner ones tend to split up the middle thanks to my over enthusiastic strumming, so i might go back to the thick jobs.

also, PRO TIP: a spot of double sided tape wrapped round the top of the plectrum means you'll NEVER drop it, and it means you don't have to grip it so hard if you're a fast rhythm player.

YES red dunlop jazz III's are the best pick for electric guitar. They have improved my speed and technique/accuracy tremendously. I think eric johnson also uses them, hes convinced the red ones give better tone than the black ones.

The shiny pink Dunlops are what I tend to use these days. Though I do a lot of undisciplined hybrid picking.

This for my electrics. I tried the Gators for a while, but the shit they put on them to make them easier to grip also felt like it made 'em stick to the strings.

I use anything thin for my acoustics.
