i heard its actually a jazz bass body or something like that
Its beyond cool, or it was back then. John Squier could've made anything look cool, he used a
Lindert in the Seahorses as well. <can i get that one in? - benecol>

Come to think of it...
Twasn't Belinda, but actually a few views of Mew's Frengers-era videos that made me want to get my hands on a Jag more than anything else.

Belinda. And this guy who used to play in a local band with a black jag w/tort. He was revealed to be a paedophile. I wonder if he wants to sell it.

A lot of old surf guys, but mostly Frusciante, as me and my friend were heavily into jamming out RHCP tunes when I came to want a new guitar.
Also, stupidly enough, I wanted a Jag because I'm a big a fan of a bunch of Jazzy players like Elvis Costello and Thom Yorke.

That is a weird change, it became all right at about 5 minutes, but still don't care for it much. I bought their last album 'cause I liked a few tracks (that one ^ and Little Victories, p'raps one or two more) but didn't think much to it as a whole.

hahaha, I new people would hate it. BUT the guitarist is actually pretty cool, and has nice gear. I read interviews about him and how he re-builds and mods all of his pedals to create weird sounds. And he has a sweet jaguar and when I saw if I thought "hmm i would like a jaguar", which is what this thread is about yes.

would you believe, i posted a comment on their myspace page a few nights back saying 'get some neu! material'.
their album was dreadful. the singer's a wanker too. they keyboard player is the sole reason i had any interest in them, he's cool.

i occasionally see them at the rehearsal studios in hackney - they're always dressed like that, complete with hair explosion and so on.. which i'll give them credit for dedication...

I first wanted a Jaguar when I saw a picture of a shell pink '66 in the back of Guitar Player. It looked a lot like this:
