I like this and im tempted to go for it. The colours remind me of them strawberries and cream sweets...
Apparently its a mid 60s model with a repro neck. The seller says its set up for 'slide' which translated means- it plays like a bag of shit. That does put me off.
Thoughts anyone?

i think it would look pretty decent without that ghastly pickup ring. nicely aged too.
definately "set up for slide" though, that action looks well high.

I'm betting the PUP ring hides the routing, which was probably done with a butterfly bit and a chisel.
Set-up for slide usually means the frets are shit, the neck is warped, and the bridge won't go any lower. You get exceptions, though. My U1 was "set up for slide" and a few tweaks made it play great.

Definitely a play before you bid deal - I'm right into my Dano's (being a card carrying homophobe), but would advise caution on this one.

Haha, but totally.
"set up for slide" = sky high action of dubious adjustability

Teh thin-dough pie Krustz.
My friend came >this< close to doing that to his '59 RI. Would have been quite interesting.
