This is a very cool video that shows just how far modelling and multifx have come. The bypassing of the Marshall preamp to give other amp sounds from the amp modelling direct to the power amp sounds great, and still gives you your dirty preamp from your pure amp as a switchable option.

I made a thread about this last summer...my friend bought it when it first came out. It is AMAZING. The thing has a XLR out so you can just record direct and model amps and record it nicely. We did one of the songs of their album with it, all guitars ran through it. It fooled so many people, they couldn't believe it was a multi-fx board. Also, the build quality is tops, its all metal/aluminum casing and the stomp switches are nice too! Amazing piece of equipment.

That's really impressive stuff. I used to plug straight into the effects return on my Princeton Chorus for ultimate cleans - modelers sounded pretty epic through it as well.
All the modeler demos seem to emphasize one tone: heavy dist., chorus, delay, non-spring reverb. I wish there were modelers that specialized specifically in clean tones, rather then just the token twin and JC models. It seems like they over-gain all the amps they emulate.
