the fretless is a bit of an odd beast.
i use it to play surf tunes and middle-eastern sounding stuff. i cant wait to get some real strings (thicker than the awful 9s i have on it right now. ive got some half-round 11s on order.) on the thing. it sounds great with the lipsticks and bounties of reverb, plus a splash of delay.
the typhoon...
i got this off of a friend who wanted a players guitar, so i traded him a squier SG shape for it. his aunt owned it in the 60s, and you can tell that it was played. there's a bunch of belt rash on the back and the finish is cracked. when i got it, the pots were incredibly crackly, so i had them replaced OH NOES NOT VINTAGE CORRECT YOU CAN LICK MY SWEATY VINTAGE BALLS. now, it sounds just fine. i have no idea what the switches below the pickups do (theyre not like jag), but the one above them switches the volume pots. as for the neck, it doesnt taper from the butt to the nut (lolz), so it takes some getting used to. also, the neck pocket is fucking atrocious. it rocks pretty hard, considering everything.
ive got more pics, PM if you'd like to take a look.

MIM Strat, modded squier strat, old beaten-up modified squier tele, and my noname bass (which actually turned out to be a good bass guitar).
This is my "project" , a jag body fitted with a normal strat style tremolo. This is just a temporary test phase to see what two humbuckers with a P90 in the middle sound like.

Cheers mike, these are just the guitars I've got in London. Still got my Jag-stang, Fenix Tele & Gitane acoustic at my folks place... and a few other non descript guitars....
It's an Indonesian Squier ... and the pick guard is an after market one, manufacturer... cobra or somethin' (def snake related I think)
EDIT: Venom...

I'm wondering how the tort works on black and although I've seen some on the interweb, they aren't too plentiful.othomas2 wrote:The main players at the moment...

i've always loved it. it was my first electric and it just jumped off the wall at me hanging there surrounded by strats and teles. i've never seen another guitar on which i like flame.St. Jimmy wrote:that artcore is dead-to-rights hot as fuck.
if i had the decision again today i'd probably have a squier tele right now but i don't regret buying it.
if bacchuspaul still wants it/can pay for it, it's going to him.

at some point i'm buying myself a full blown hollow-body/arch top. i tell myself it'll probably be a big nut buster like a gretsch falcon or summit. or a setzer signature...but those artcores are really fucking awesome, and i'm always tempted to buy one on clearance at my local guitar store...Reece wrote:i've always loved it. it was my first electric and it just jumped off the wall at me hanging there surrounded by strats and teles. i've never seen another guitar on which i like flame.St. Jimmy wrote:that artcore is dead-to-rights hot as fuck.
