No. His is a custom shop Squier Bronco without the holes that would be in the normal pickguard, designed to be converted into a musicmaster style bass with a pickguard change.

I think the sunlight was bright enough outside to wash out the scars of the old screw holes, but in person you can still see where they were, up close, because the paint I bought is just a little bit darker than the body colour.

good job,
Still a very good job the only one I could even try and notice was the one on the bottom horn, and I had to look very very close to my screen. All together you did a good one.

buy a "poo brown" one and paint it white.
Problem solved.
Well, since it's a thumb rest, painting it wouldn't give long lasting results. The physical contact from having my thumb on it would probably wear the paint off pretty quickly.
I guess I could try and get a block of white plastic from something/somewhere and just carve it into a thumbrest. Would be cheaper, too.
Yeah. What do you call those things that you find next to the raul plugs in DIY shops? You know, the sort of plastic blocks that you might put on the inside of a joint to hold the two pieces of wood?

I don't know what they're called, but I know what you mean. That's a good idea, they're pretty cheap too.
