if it's in the same price region as the orange and vox's [or hopefully, cheaper] it'll be the new sliced bread

I think the combo looks nicer. The head with the 2 cabs look like one of the micro stacks marshall do, which I don't like. I would like to see prices though, could be a hit.

I was going to post this earlier, but ran out of time!
Not sure I like the sound of it from the clip...but need to give it another listen.

thanks for the heads up.
thinking more in the terms of 40 watt marshall combo-ness. will it be loud and decent sounding compared to the dsl, which is of similar wattage.

Dunno what I think of this. I love Marshalls, and I love small amps, but I'm not sure about this for some reason.

First off, I don't think it looks right. Secondly, wee small amps aren't what Marshall means to me. I think of Marshall and I think of valve amps from fifty watts up, and sheets of blistering tone blowing my ears off.

I personally don't think it sounds very good. They should ditch all the effects crap and focus on making the thing sound decent.

I hate when they use terms like 'custom-voiced' and 'purpose built'. It would be custom voiced if each customer could choose how the effects were voiced. It's not custom voiced to pick some they like and then mass produce it. Of course the cabs are fucking purpose built. It would hardly make sense to say "well we originally built these without any purpose at all. We had them sitting around for months and considered converting them to purpose-converted rabbit hutches, but instead we've chucked some speakers in them and they make up this mini stack here'.

Maybe they usually build them by accident. Maybe they actually tried to make a fried egg sandwich, and were just about to get busy with the red sauce when they realised "ah fuck, this one's come out as a speaker cabinet too!"

Actually I think it's more like $599.

I think the cabs are available separately at around $200 or so. I dunno how the Combo stacks against the DSL401 Rob, it doesn't seem to have as much clean headroom as the DSL401 from what I can tell.

Hmm, I am liking. Black + grey cloth = win.

Sound pretty nifty too, I'm considering downsizing my rig for London living so will be looking at a combo of sorts, the 40 doesn't seem out of the question. Probably way too pricey for me, though.
