Mixer Dilemma
I'm in a band and I would like to record all the instruments at the same time. Does anyone know of a affordable mixer with at least six mic inputs and can hook up with a computer interface (like pro tools)? I'm kinda a noob with this stuff so don't destroy me

Got a bit more time...
With Protools, you need to buy one of their interfaces (either Digidesign or M-Audio). The cheapest will get you 2 input channels; and they max out at 18 for the consumer (non-HD) software (PTLE).
Mixer-wise, I like the Soundcraft Spirit M-Series boards. The pres are decent quality and they have direct outs on every channel that you could feed to your interface. They're pretty affordable and come in several versions with different numbers of channels. Could probably get one cheap used.
