$100 isn't terrible for a super vintage CASE. I never noticed the handle wasn't centered.

That's because it's built for an offset.

Its not because it's for an offset. Its just because the body end of the guitar is much heavier than the neck.. and if you have the handle in the middle the case it rotates backwards towards the floor. Having the handle further back balances it out and it will stay flat when you carry it. Its a good design idea, nice case.

Can you get new tweed cases?

I know they make them for Strats. Some people even buy them and varnish them, scuff and dirt them up for the relic look.
