I love everything about it, actually.
I ALWAYS forget you painted it, which sucks because that's actually the best bit about it, and certainly my favourite bit. More specifically, I forget that it's painted altogether. It's like skin, nobody cares, unless you don't have any.

This picture best shows off the beautiful, yet subtle sparkles in the paint job. Also shows the very fortunate joining of neck to socket, and the fact that the toggle switch has such huge balls that it warps the whole pickguard. Oh, and WRHB goodness.

that thing is awesome. not digging the saddles, or the bottom jack, but damn nice execution.

if i can ever find a rib/arm contoured tele body, i've got quite a sexy little number idea'd up.

So how many Malikasters are there?

That mapplez neck gives me an idea. What are the black inlays made of?

inlays are acrylic and that neck/drama associated with malikaster body can be found here...

http://shortscale.org/forum/viewtopic.p ... c&start=20

if you want a maple b&b neck, check ebay for the allparts one, the truss rod is in the wrong place (i'm still working on making it less ugly) and you have to add a bit of wood to get the cbs style head stock (it's a paddle headstock) but it is still much cheaper than the warmoth equivalent.

they look like this...

I don't even remember what mine looks like now. What kind of shape is it in? I am not worried about seams, as such. But I didn't drop $225 either. That stuff can be puttied easily enough, and I have done all the transparent colors I need. I still may need to try another burst just to nail it.

I was thinking about trying to practice some inlay on that neck, but I should probably not bother.
