A string tree popped off today during a jam session, that totally sucks as it sent it way out of tune and was a pain to keep in tune without a string tree. It's staying in tune now after it's had a chance to stretch a bit. I guess i'll be ordering roller saddles, and possibly some wilkinson locking tuners, the kind where you just have to tighten then to tension and lock them, so they only wind up about a 4th of the one rotation so it doesn't "stretch."
BUT other than that she is holding up amazingly well other than the string tree misshap. The finish on her isn't too great. I imagine i will have it re-done in a few years if need be. Or i might just let her age for all eternity!
The sounds still amaze me. The middle position with the Rails only is such a great clean tone, as the full buckers are much too harsh for a "clean" sound without dropping the volume back. The P90s are great for punk stuff too.
I will do a trebble bleed mod on it too, as i already have leftover caps and resistors from a previous mod.
Just an update and some insight after i've had her in my hands for a couple of weeks. Everyone that has seen it has been blown away. One "professional musician," as he called himself, couldn't believe that it is a korean squire! He also said he would HAVE to get a set of P-Rails for himself. So that was a pretty cool comment.
