i've seen the distortion III around, but they seem to be priced up stupidly over here. last one i saw in a shop was like $130/£89Haze wrote:i've been giving the box of rock a second chance since the box of cake arrived. they go together really well. i haven't had the classic distortion up there in a while, thinking about another swap and giving it a go again, it is a fantastic pedal
i'd be glad to send it your way someday, although its the same as the distortion iii if that helps your search.

this is true, the last 2 have been around $3 for shipping and i spend about $2 for a nice envelope and packing but that was cont. us
no telling what it would be to the UK, ask mike what pedals cost to ship to the US, he does that quite a bit. It should be the same from here to there as it is there to here

few things to change
classic distortion will possibly get sent to mike, and will get an undisclosed metal type pedal [its whats for dinner]
regen has found a convincing small clone tone, close, but no cigar
dd600 is a delay... a great, multi use delay, just adds a bit of noise and lacks some features i would like
on a positive note, the pitch black is the best tuner i've used to date, tried the peterson robostomp and do not want. probably the longest standing pedal on my board. the Box of cake is PERFECT, i get awesome overdrive tones to crunchy stuff that steps on the box of rocks toes when acdc comes to mind. The RV-7 is amazing. And the RC-2 is constantly helping my playing and i am always finding new things to do.

Box of Cake - only dirt i need, GET ONE
Regenerator - waiting for a Cheap Small clone to pop up
DD600 - waiting for a cheap DD20 to pop up
RV-7 - excellent reverb and is great for the Black Keys stuff i've been playing along with tons of other sounds
RC-2 - awesome little looper that keeps me on my toes and creative
I'm really reliant on the box of cake at the moment, so i'm keeping the first Hotcake as a backup so i'm not entirely boned if anything were to happen to it. Add a slide for looping, a lighter, and extra patch cable. All powered by a 1spot. The warwick case is great too! I like how everything is spaced out so i don't accidentally step on something other than entended.
possibly george l's before too long and a tempo for the dd20 when that day comes

1. Nothing, ha, it's just a remnant from when I used it along with my Tiny Terror. That combination now only gets played when someone is jamming with me really.Haze wrote:wow, a couple of questions here:
1. What goes into the Orange cab?
2. Why the 2 Twin Tubes? Did one break down?
3. How much do you love delay?
4. Do you use the different presets you can make on the DD20? I'm considering purchasing one for this reason.
2. One's a spare. The valves aren't easy to replace as they're soldered in place and thus a hot swap is a reasonably good idea unless you can carry on playing minus your distortion. "Talk about paranoid!", I hear you cry,"those valves are supposed to outlive nuclear waste!" I can confirm from experience that this isn't necessarily so, however.
3. Haha, yes I do love delay. I particularly like cascaded delay and you can get some rather glorious effects with the Danny on short delay times going into the DMM on longer ones.
4. Do you mean the different preset types of delay (i.e. tape/analog/standard/smooth etc) or do you mean the ability to dial everything in, save it and then recall it as a preset? I'll answer both I guess. The only type of delay I use is tape or analog. I do make great use of the ability to store different delay times, feedback, level and tone etc and recall them quickly, yes.
