Mike's Pedal Thread

Yep, pretty sure it's fine once it's properly dry (might add a day to the process) but I'll check with my more knowledgeable colleagues at coffee in a minute. Gold fuzzface sounds supercool.Mike wrote:You mean that they need to really dry out before you clearcoat?benecol wrote:You know when you remember something just after the event? I think I might have known that about the decal and clearcoat. Fuck. Fits well, though.

I left it overnight this time. Decal applied last night at 8 pm, clearcoat this morning at 7 am. I hope that's ok. If it's not I'll spit.benecol wrote:Yep, pretty sure it's fine once it's properly dry (might add a day to the process) but I'll check with my more knowledgeable colleagues at coffee in a minute. Currently this decal process is quite long:
Print Decal - leave 2 hours to dry
Clearcoat Decal Paper - leave a day to dry
Apply Decal to pedal - leave 12 hours to dry
Clearcoat pedal 2-3 times over 36 hours, + 12 to dry.

Case photos!
Reece here is the current state of yours, Yay or Nay? Carry on or sand it all off and start again?
Lamps case, tried to capture the Metallic nature with the flash.
Fuzzface I just applied the decal on. Lost some of the border in the process. Thinking about ditching the borders as a result.
And a Saltbooster I am buying for the website/to sell. Decal applied and lacquered

I'll redo it then, I want you to be happy with your pedal. The only reason I even asked you rather that just redoing it was because you mentioned you wanted it to get beat up.
I can't guarantee it will come out as well as the orange one because as you can see from the Fuzz face, every decal application goes differently. I will do my best.
I'll go and sand it off now and lay some primer.
