a couple of questions

Post by Mo Law-ka »

so here's me being a noob again...

i would eventually like to make a copy of my magnatone typhoon that is easy to play, and sounds good.

here's what i want to copy.

basically here are my questions:
1. what are the dimensions of a jag trem plate?
2. does anyone have experience with these pickups? they're the closest thing, visually, i can find
3. does anyone know a source of those knobs, or at least something close to it? black plastic with metal "volume" and "tone"
4. anybody want to fund this? :D

a buddy of mine had some pickups very similar to that in his firebird, or at least the bridge. i doubt it was a gfs, but it could've been. it sounded kinda thin unless you rolled the tone off and brought the gain up. worth a try (return if you don't like).

as for the knobs, you'd probably be best with the gibson style top hats:

good luck, mo.

any luck making a bronco bass body?

Aren't you training to become a orthodontist or some shit? In about five years you'll have that mad orthodontist money rolling in and you can just pay Rob(og) to build it for you.
