There are better pickups then emgs man. Definitely better pickups out there.

What would you suggest for my music style (Megadeth, metallica etc)

EMGs are some of the best pups I've tried

clearly low output lipstick pickups there, they scream metal tonez.

are you using active EMGs or passive? if active then git tae fux now. if passive i'm sure there are better passive pickups on the market.

since you seem to be rather the authority on BK pickups 'round here, what have you heard about the Mississippi Queen 'bucker sized p90s?

Lots of people love them! Myself included. I have a MQ in the neck of my custom les paul and it's wonderful.
Clear and punchy, not as muddy as most lp neck pups.
Powerful but very articulate. Haven't personally played a bridge version but would like to have a guitar with a calibrated set for sure.

I may go for Dave Mustaine livewires or blackouts but my experience with duncans hasn't been great.....I'll try a Dean VMNT before I do that
