And you wonder why people troll around bitching at you... WTF. I am pretty sure there are numerous old ladies that would put ALL of us to shame on guitar. Or is it that you just hate women in general unless you want to fuck them since you seem to dismiss women in general around here?

Call me stupid, but I always though you judged a guitar player by the way they play, not the way they look.

I meant the slightly vague alternative meaning of what I said. I'll reword it to highlight it:

"I've got no love for just some random old woman playing a guitar, no matter what guitar it happens to be"

Obviously there was no stress or expression in what I said as it's just typed text. I could've used more words, I could've used bold and underline or italics, but I didn't.

I don't hate women in general at all, I believe in equality between the sexes, and that's why I don't like it when men give women attention solely based on their looks and appearance. Great, she's got tits and a nice haircut and she's playing a guitar, but she's old enough to be my grandmother by the looks of it and I don't know her, so I've got nothing sexual that I can or would like to say about her. Sorry.

I think the only history of that is him complaining about unnecssary clevage shots and the drooling that came with them. I read the comment in this thread as saying it doesn't matter that she's playing a guitar, he isn't into old women. It's written fairly ambiguously and I can understand people reading it as 'old women shouldn't play guitar'. Malik gets way too much stick for this stuff, though.

maybe I read too much into it and I apologize if I did, but it came off basicly as old women should not play guitar. The original post was about a particular guitar, not even about the guitar player. My point was that why even make the statement, It was rude and condescending towards women and it's fucking mother days for god's sake. And truthfully, making comments about people's antics in the pub (awhile ago), making comments about some women not really belonging here (again awhile ago), and making a comment that reads as old women shouldn't play guitar does lead someone to believe that they guy is an ass towards women (at least around here). Malik makes stupid statements all the time (not just about women...) I have nothign personally against him, but he does like to insert stupid things into the middle of threads.

Anyways, I apologize if I "overreacted" but it just seemed like a totally worthless and stupid post.

Except for Shad's titty comment, the thread was about the guitar and/or guitar playing...Not that she was a women. Interjecting the old women comment into the guitar thread was what made it seem that the words were aimed towards women guitar players. Your response shows the same thing. You shouldn't "have love or not have love" for old women guitar players. Either listen to the music and add some informed conversation to the topic, or STFU. By your comment you are implying that without listening to them, you are judging them BECAUSE they are old women and you "got no love" for them.

I don't believe that you actually hate women, but that comment was terribly dismissive at the least.

Malik rose to what Shad and Prog said in passing in a thread primarily about a Telecaster, he also fucked up the message he was trying to convey by wording it stupidly. I don't think he's taking too much stick for it, I would say just about the right amount.

Just because she's a woman with breasts who some people feel they'd have sex with given the opportunity, that doesn't mean I'm more likely to like her as a musician. At all. I can't think like that, I have too much respect for sexual equality to do so. It's a nice guitar, but the thread had a "bonus points for being a woman" feel to it, and I just don't support that.

If I felt the thread had a vibe of people supporting the guy just because he was an old guy, I'd probably say that too (albeit in a confusing manner). Like I said, I felt that a couple of posters had drawn attention to her because she was a woman (in hindsight it was only a couple of comments, but like I said, I got that vibe). In fact, Bassintom came in after my post and made a remark about how he'd "hit that". How is that any worse than me coming in and expressing my opposite opinion?

I do not believe a player should be judged by their appearance, age, sexuality, race, gender, or anything like that. Obviously if you look like a chonst, you can gtfo and if you try to use any of the stated features (or similar) to aid your career, then that warrants comment.

I never did mention in here that I LOVE that guitar. Not a huge Heart fan one way or another (good band but not phenominal band)
I would love a double bound tele with a neck HB and LPB with matching headstock.
