This was a custom shop/artist series model from 1999-2001 or so. Finding pics of it is quite the challenge though. It came in three colours all with gold leaf, here's the orange one...
Other than that I can't find anything at all. Anybody have other pics? or is able to find them?
Note the jazzy pickups have an elongated cover with a different mounting method.

the rest of it looks like it was done as a 1st grade art project. awful.

That one is slightly better, but the triangles are a bit much too. WTF are on those pickups--upholstery pins? Bullets?

i recall that will ray then switched from fender to G&L, producing a similar guitar, but with fender XII style pickups.

Here is the G&L. This one is in blue but I think most are bright orange....
Also, the pickups are awesome. I have played a comanche that has them and they sound amazing...

I has played one. The side-dots are cubic zirconium, which protrude so you can feel them with your thumb. Actually kindof a neat touch.

I actually like it. I don't like the B-Bender stuff (is that what that is?) but there's a certain amount of 'this stuff rocks and I don't care if you like it' that gives it balls. The skull inlays are, of course, rubbish but on the whole I like it.

like a couple days before you first posted this I saw one of the original flyers for these on ebay. It had all the colors as far as I could tell. I didn't "watch" it though and when I went to search for it again it was gone. the auction had ended.

I actually think the original tele is pretty ugly. that's kind of what makes it cool. it's just such a bare-bones guitar design. it doesn't have any of the curves and smooth lines of the later fenders.* I think this really provides a great basis for wild modifications (like this guitar). it's already pretty wack looking, you're just helping it in that direction a little more.
*
the one thing that always annoys me about the tele is the stupid pickguard that just cuts straight across and the control plate that juts out from it at a right angle. such a clunky design. If I build a tele, I'm doing it like this:

In my dreams, i'd lose the tele control plate though and have it like a Custom/Deluxe.

jesus that guitar is ugly.
the finish reminds me of cheesy wotsit dust over someone's fingers.
