press release:
Film are coming back with their 3rd album release entitled PERSONA.
After a long period of experimentation in the studio in collaboration with
the producer Hristos Lainas, working with the new voice Ifigenia Atkinson
Film's sound is evolving to a different direction. Influenced by the compositions
of Vangelis Papathanasiou and the analogue electronics, PERSONA is an
atmospheric - moody 11-track soundtrack with cinematic aesthetics. The album
features several musicians in brass and string arrangements, among them Evira
from Abbie Gale is the voice in 2 songs and Manolis Angelakis (producer of the
band's 2 previous albums) played the slide guitars.
The album is scheduled to be released late this May from the upcoming indie
label INNER EAR while LINK4U is now running the band's management.
Live dates for the presentation of PERSONA will be announced soon.

I find it so hard to say whether something's 'good' or 'bad'. Comments
Berlin: Nicely recorded, like the finish with the sax. I find the lyrics a bit weak e.g."1, 2, 3, Good things start before what's left is nothing".
The Slip: Sounds a bit busy around 1'25" for a bit and again around 3'25". Again, not so keen on the lyrics. Again, I like the way it ramps up at the end.
Long Coffee Break: Nice gentle piece, though maybe the juxtaposition of the lyric "little bird" and male vocals in the background is a bit odd.
Retroic: Another nice gentle piece. "Mummy knows we will never be astronauts"? Reminds me a little of Duran Duran in the finish.
Happy: Upbeat, less "arranged"- Evira singing? Definitely the single out of that selection.
General comments:
Is that Ifigenia on the cover?
- Nice clean sound, though sometimes the vocal could be a little more forward.
- The sudden addition of reverb on the word "Astronauts" in Retroic and the phrase "Space Station" in "Berlin" seemed a little contrived.

regarding the lyrics, indeed since english isnt our mother language, sometimes something that sounds good in our language when translated in english is a bit odd. this is not who lyrics are written, but the mind I guess think in mother language.
we are very happy with how it turned out, our producer did an impressive work in transforming the initial recordings into something much better.
btw, happy is from our previous release...
