Cleaning pots
How exactly do I clean a pot?
I have a russian muff which I'd like to get going again and I'm trying to keep the original pots in there.

Get some compressed air and some aerosol contact cleaner.
Check your pots for a hole generally located on the side of the casing.
Blow compressed air into the holes very thouroughly, while rotating the pot.
When you are pretty confident that whatever debris that was inside the pot has been dislodged, hit that same hole with generous ammounts of contact cleaner and rotate the pot back and forth.
Leave it be for a few minutes, so that the grime can be disolved. Allow the soiled cleaner to drip out of the pot, clean things up a bit and hit it with some more cleaner. repeat until the cleaner comes back out the same colour as it did comming in.
It's very important that you do the compressed air thing first because otherwise, the junk that is in there might simply turn to sludge and rotating the pot will smear that shit all over your contacts, like jam on toast.
